Sue is passionate about helping entrepreneurs build highly-differentiated brands by bringing complex stories to life.
Most recently, Sue held senior leadership roles at two stand-out life sciences companies, EQRx and Foundation Medicine. Sue served as chief communications officer at EQRx, where she built award-winning corporate and talent brands and contributed to the company raising nearly $750 million of capital in its first two private rounds. At Foundation Medicine, Sue served as senior vice president of corporate communications, government affairs and advocacy. During her tenure, Foundation Medicine became one of the most recognized brands in genomic testing for people with advanced cancer. Sue was part of the Foundation Medicine executive team through its acquisition by Roche. Over her career, Sue has launched more than two dozen diagnostics, therapeutics and digital health products worldwide in addition to supporting growth-oriented corporate fundraising objectives.
Sue’s desire to make the world a greener, cleaner planet led her to the bio-based chemicals market where she led fundraising, policy and project finance efforts for companies pursuing commercialization of renewable, more sustainable fuels and chemicals. Her efforts culminated in the successful build of the first at-scale, bio-based renewable chemicals manufacturing plant in the United States.
Sue holds an MBA and a B.S. degree in biology with honors from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She serves on board of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, a not-for-profit organization that represents the Massachusetts life sciences cluster.
